This trend tip is brought to you by Jennifer for J.Mont Cosmetics. Jenny, a ten year veteran make up artist and licensed esthetician recently recommended the Golden Goddess Sunkist look as a great and easy to achieve look for Fall.
Just how easy? Well, I visited Jennifer's studio just to find out how easy and was surprised with the results. Using the J.Mont cosmetics line, we played around with her cutely named products; but it was serious business at hand. Here is how she did it:
We started with a freshly cleaned and moisturized face. Hopefully you have already read Part I of the two part series and have exfoliated with a gentle scrub like Aveeno Daily Moisturizing scrub. (Jennifer says that you should be, "exfoliating your skin at least once a week", as "removing the outer layer of dead skin" cells gives a healthy glow.) Prep and fill in brow.
Using a brush (Sable hairs are recommended) apply liquid or cream foundation evenly on skin. Blend, focusing only on blemished areas. The foundation should match from jaw line to neck complexion with no streaks. You can use the same brush to apply concealer to entire eye and under. Concealer shade should be about two shades lighter to lift the look of the eye.
Continuing with the eyes, curl lashes and apply mascara. Using a new brush, pat the gold toned eyeshadow from lashes to crease. Jennifer recommends her own Foil for medium skin tones and Sunshower for lighter ones. Now for depth, apply the brown shadow in the crease using a slow window wash action. We used Auburn, but Savannah was a close rival in the pick. For the highlighting under the brow, we selected Sweet Pea, a tinted mint with a hint of shimmer. Line the top eyelid in black. We used liquid, but a pencil should do the trick.
The concealer should be helping to keep the shadows in place so don't rub! Now, set the concealer under the eye with a powder using a dab and smooth method. We used Mineral Powder C6 with SPF 15. Liberally apply a bronzer, concentrating on the T-zone and cheek areas. For my skin, Hot and Spicy really set it off.
Lastly, highlight the lips with an orange lipgloss. Yes, orange and this summer color has plans to stick around even into boots and fur time as trends for winter are remaining HOT. Select an orange with peachy or golden undertones to create " a wet looking full lip which compliments the Golden Goddess look perfectly", states Jennifer.
When done, your skin should be glowing, your eyes sparkling and lips shining.
Xtra tips from Jennifer: Blend, blend, blend and drink plenty of water.
