Following my most recent article which discussed the history and benefits of eyebrow threading, I convinced myself to give threading a shot. I have waxed my eyebrows for years, and since I naturally look like I might perhaps be related to Burt from Sesame Street, tweezing requires twice-a-week-maintenance. Perhaps threading is the answer.
My venture to experience this centuries-old hair removal technique led me to Enchante; a European Salon and Spa. I approached the salon on the day of my appointment with hesitancy, as the website left me feeling as though I was a tad too "girl next door" for such an upscale, high fashion salon. I proceeded nonetheless, and upon leaving the streets of Downtown Loveland I was immediately welcomed by a very small, very friendly greeter. Stitch, an adorable canine member of the Enchante family, belongs to Murat. Murat Tercan owns Enchante and is also the resident eyebrow threading expert that would be introducing me to this beauty regime. Although Stitch had already made me feel like I might actually fit in here, he was quickly followed by a pleasant, bubbly hostess who offered me a seat and a complimentary drink menu. With selections like white or red wine, hot chocolate, and sweet iced tea, walking into Enchante almost feels like walking into a friend's stylish downtown loft rather than a popular salon and spa. After only a few minutes of waiting Murat introduced himself and escorted me back to one of the white Italian chairs. Acutely aware of my nervousness, Murat successfully calmed my fears with his charm and positive energy. After a quick trim of the eyebrow hair, he began the actual eyebrow threading with his simple piece of black thread. To my very pleasant suprise there was a minimal amount of pain involved. Not nearly as intense as waxing or even tweezing, I experienced an unfamiliar feeling that Murat referred to as a "zipline sensation." When finished Murat showed me my reflection and I could not have been more impressed. He had transformed my shaggy brows that had stray hairs everywhere into sleek, clean, slim lines that complimented my eyes rather than overwhelmed them. I thanked Murat for his patience, humor, and skill and left with a smile on my face. He asked that I come back soon and I can honestly say I will be returning to Enchante frequently.
Why do I recommend Enchante to my readers? Perhaps it is the large massage chairs that assist in relaxation during a shampoo. Maybe it is the waiting area that is not only furnished with large chairs that seem to embrace you, but also with a calming waterfall and a fireplace that can warm a cool evening. Or maybe, just maybe it is the fact that this salon has found a way to combine the style of Europe with the hospitality of Loveland. There are too many individual features to list. Enchante is a french word; translated it means delighted. Following my experience at Enchante, I think the name is a perfect fit for the business.

I just had mine threaded by Murat too. I had heard of it but didn't even know where to go for something like that. I do also want to say that I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done. I don't have bad hair days anymore. He really understands how my hAir falls and I truley think it's an important Investment since I wear it every day. I'm happy to see this article about him.
