City Labs Community Service Fair
With the crisis in Haiti bring attention towards charities and non-profits, it’s also important to think about how to enrich your own local community. Besides the typical dropping off canned food at your local food drive, there are tons of opportunities to volunteer. Swing by the California Market Center from 11 – 4 pm this Saturday January 23rd for City Labs Community Service Fair to meet with 50 local charities and non-profits eager for volunteers.
From young to old there’s something for everyone. Featured organizations include the Green Youth Movement, a local nonprofit that promotes green education and sustainable living amongst kids and teens. The GYM team will be promoting its upcoming community service opportunities for 2010, as well as educating fair attendees on simple, easy-to-do eco-friendly living tips. Look for them and their stylish logo tee’s at booth # 6005.

There is a suggested $5 entrance donation which includes a free drink and raffle ticket.
