The Body Shop announced today that they have signed on to become the first retailer to reward people for saving energy and water through a free program from start-up Earth Aid, which allows households to track their utility usage in one place online and get points depending on how much energy and water they save.
Users can get $10 off a $50 purchase from The Body Shop when they accrue 75 Earth Aid Rewards. The Body Shop is also offering prize packages worth $100 to top savers.
“Cutting energy consumption is an action we can all take," said Shelley Simmons, Director of Values of The Body Shop Americas. "Sometimes we just need a little help in taking that first step. Earth Aid’s innovative Rewards Program provides a fun and engaging way for everyone to get active and make a positive difference.”
The Body Shop is joining more than 200 local and regional businesses that have signed up as part of the Rewards Program.
“We are thrilled to have The Body Shop join Earth Aid,” said Ben Bixby, Co-Founder & CEO of Earth Aid. “Once again, The Body Shop is leading the way in promoting sustainability, serving as a model of corporate citizenship.”
