Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen

Dior National Makeup Artist Karen Hummel has learned a wealth of insider tips and tricks in her work on films, television, and the runways. I asked her for some of her favorite makeup tips. This is what she shared:

• Bright Eyes. To brighten eyes and help yourself look more awake, apply a little brightening concealer, like Dior Skinflash, on the outer and inner corners of the eyes.

• Brows. Before applying brow color, always brush the brows up to fully see the shape of the brow and to enhance the shape and arch.

• Blush and Bronzer. Dust a little bronzer on cheeks, and along the hairline and jawline to contour and add natural color. With the same brush, dust blush on top of the cheekbone. This will blend the colors as it enhances the cheeks.

• Lips. If you’re ever in doubt as to what lip color to wear, go with a sheer coral or pink to look fresh and young. To help lip liner glide on more smoothly, apply it after lipstick.

• Mascara. Hummel is a big fan of layering two mascaras. She recommends first using one that adds curl and volume. Follow that with a mascara that lengthens.
