Cook! SF Cleanse offers healthy eating that won't leave you starving

The Cook! SF Cleanse offers healthy, physician-approved meals that won’t leave you starving. The cleanse is designed to give the body a break and heal itself. It’s not your typical cleanse of broths and teas. You actually get to eat three tasty, gourmet meals a day with things like grilled turkey breast and salmon. The meals are perfect for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time but wants to eat right.

Cleanse Health Benefits
The idea behind the cleanse is that eating the right foods detoxifies the body and reduces inflammation, which is linked to illness and accelerated aging. It’s designed to rid the body of toxins, help digestion by healing the gut, recharge energy and reduce fatigue, break sugar addiction, and teach you how to eat healthier, whole foods.

How the Cleanse is Designed
The cleanse is based on the Ultrametabolism diet created by New York Times best-selling author Dr. Mark Hyman. Dr. Neha Sangwan of Intuitive Intelligence Inc. has approved the cleanse. “Most people don’t know they have food sensitivities that contribute to weight gain, fatigue, and a host of other symptoms,” Dr. Sangwan said. “The Cook! SF Cleanse is a great way to get the body back on track.”

Cook! SF skips common food allergens, like gluten, soy, and dairy, and primarily uses organic, local, and whole ingredients. They include colorful vegetables, organic and natural meats, and high-fiber foods like quinoa and brown rice.

The Food
Cook! SF delivers meals for a week, including three meals for each day and optional snacks. Meals require some assembly or cooking, which can be done very quickly and easily. I’ve sampled one of the meals and found it to be wonderful – impeccably fresh, vibrant, and flavorful. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever made – comparable to something I’d get at a nice restaurant. It took me about 15 minutes to prepare and didn’t require any special skills on my part.

Following is a sample menu for a day:

Breakfast: A generous bowl of gluten-free, organic granola with organic almond milk, raisins and almonds.
Lunch: Organic grilled turkey breast with dried cranberries, caramelized onions, sliced cucumbers, diced celery, carrots, and walnuts, on a bed of organic Romaine lettuce with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Dinner: Miso-grilled salmon with 100% buckwheat soba noodles and organic baby bok choi with a daikon lemon dressing.
Snacks: A smooth vegetable broth made with onions, carrots, celery, cabbage, turnip, mushrooms, parsley and fresh herbs or organic carrots with chickpea dip.

I’ve lost over 150 pounds after discovering I had a gluten intolerance! I weighed almost 400 pounds and was told I’d never get it off without the help of lap band surgery. Searching alternatives, I discovered the gluten issue. I gave up wheat, oats and barley and lost almost 80 pounds right away. This success led to more progress and I am currently chipping away at the remaining weight. My new book, Fat Boxing, A Guide to Weight Loss explains the simple process and philosophy I used. If you want to learn more, I write a weight loss article for Examiner.com where you can view my “report card”.
