Exclusively sold online and available at Macy's on O'Farrell, Material Girl is a complete line of fun and exciting clothes and accessories just in time for "back-to-school" shopping. Studded, tulle, and sequined handbags, jackets, accessories and more (created and designed by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes. Taylor Momsen headlines the brand) stock part of the fourth floor of the mega department store.Take a gander and you're bound to find something you love, be it animal print flats, pearl strings, or chain necklaces.

This last Tuesday was the official Material Girl Collection launch. 10:00 am - 11:00 am was the Madonna look-a-like contest and bandeau/gift card giveaway for the first 200 customers followed by another special event at 3:00 pm. We headed over to the 3:00 pm event and found several exciting things that added a little extra amusement to the day of every Madonna-lover of San Francisco

Of course, there was a DJ. Spinning exclusively Madonna tunes. We walked into the affair to the beat of "Like A Prayer" and heard famous pop singles, from every decade, as we shopped.

And one of the beguiling merry-makers of the event was the photo booth, where ladies and gents, dressed as the Queen of Pop or not, could take photos clad with Madonna accessories, including props like candy, brightly colored sunglasses, and even an iconic blonde wig and tutus.

 And of course, one of our favorite parts of these glorious launches, the candy bar!

The whole enjoyment made us wish that Macy's, Madonna, and Lourdes' were around  to throw one of these soirees during our back-to-school purchasing ventures with mom. Not just for a fabulous field-day of play but also for the incredible selection of apparel that Material Girl has which is ALL UNDER $40!
