Three songs from Paul McCartney’s live  "Good Evening, New York City" album will be added to both the Rock Band and LEGO Rock Band music stores of downloadable content for Microsoft Xbox 360,  Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii in early January.

“New York City Pack 01” will feature live versions of "Band on the Run," "Sing the Changes" and "Jet" from the album. They'll be tentatively available Jan. 5 for Xbox 360 and Wii and Jan. 7 for PlayStation3.  Harmonix and MTV Games made a formal announcement of the additions on Monday, though word initally had surfaced late last week.

A spokesman for Harmonix/MTV Games confirmed the tracks will be playable only on "Rock Band," "Rock Band 2" and "Lego: Rock Band. They will not be playable on "The Beatles: Rock Band."

The pricing for Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 for each track will be $1.99 USD, £.99 UK or €1.49 EU,  or, on Xbox 360 only, 160 Microsoft points. "New York City Pack 01," which will be available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and contain all three tracks, will cost  $5.49, £2.49 UK or €3.99 EU or, on Xbox 360, 440 Microsoft points.

Pricing for Nintendo Wii will be $2.00 USD or 200 Wii points per track. Tracks are only available individually on Wii.

The three tracks will be the first McCartney's tracks available for the "Rock Band" franchise, though not the first Macca tracks ever for a music game. The studio version of "Band on the Run" was previously available in "Guitar Hero World Tour."
