We have some additional information on Monday's Ringo Starr star ceremony (love that double talk) from Ana Martinez-Holler of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who oversees these ceremonies.
Time and location: 7 p.m. PT Monday at 1750 N. Vine Street, Hollywood (the Capitol Records tower). The event kicks off the 50th anniversary of the Hollywood Walk of Fame being celebrated in 2010.
Speakers: Joe Walsh, Don Was and Ben Harper, plus some local dignitaries.
Traffic/road closure: Vine Street will be closed from noon-10 pm. There are parking lots on Hollywood Boulevard. The Chamber of Commerce strongly suggests taking the Metro.
Webcast: The ceremony will be webcast here on the page (see above, so be sure to bookmark this page or make it a favorite) beginning at 5 p.m. PT with a preshow (ceremony itself begins at 7 p.m. PT) (see above, plus we'll also run it in a separate post so it'll be easier to find). The webcast will also be on ringostarr.com, thebeatles.com, fabfourum.com, HollywoodChamber.net and others.
Demand: The space for the press is full because of demand to cover the ceremony.
