Paul McCartney will be the first artist to play concerts at Citi Field, the New York Mets stadium in Flushing, N.Y., TicketNews.com reported Friday.
Quoting "reliable industry sources," the site said McCartney would play July 17-18, with a possible third date July 21. The concerts would take place during the Mets' first road trip following the All-Star Game July 14 in St. Louis.
McCartney is playing Halifax, Nova Scotia, July 11.
The Beatles played at Shea Stadium, the former home of the Mets, in 1965 and 1966. Paul McCartney made a surprise appearance at Billy Joel's "Last Play At Shea" concert last year to close the venue.
TicketNews said neither McCartney's publicist or AEG Live did not reply to inquiries about the report.
