New John Lennon book takes interactive approach to tribute

It's likely 'john lennon: in their own write/a loving tribute from his friends and fans" might have a fan in the former Beatle himself.

Rather than statically recount Lennon's life, the just published book by author Judith Furedi lets people, including some of those close to him, tell the story through anecdotes and quotes.

The book includes contributions from Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon,  Julian Lennon and Shea Stadium promoter Sid Bernstein, who wrote the introduction.

It allows readers to insert their own feelings about Lennon in a special interactive page in the book. The interactive nature continues on the website www.dearjohnlennon.com, where fans are welcome to contribute their thoughts.

The book, which also comes with a bonus CD featuring a reading of the book, is available in e-book form. The author says the project may be expanded to include a DVD in the future featuring Beatle tribute bands.

Cost for the book is $25. It can be purchased through through Amazon.com or the author's website.

Please note: the current book will be available in ebook format, but it isn't yet.

Also, please note, the CD that accompanies this book is called 'in their own write: the spoken word' and it also contains a musical track 'in their own write' composed and preformed Mike Ringler, a fine musician 'in his own write.'

The book also includes a tribute, beautiful fan art and professional photographs by Dave Beckerman (Winner of the 'Best Central Park Photographer of the Year')and it is intended as a coffee table book for Lennon and Beatle fans.

The tribute follows John from Liverpool, to London and finally to his beloved NYC, and is a celebration of his life.

Thank you for your comments and thank you Steve for your positive review!
