There's no denying the fact -- no surprise, really -- that Dhani Harrison is full of enthusiasm about the upcoming "The Beatles: Rock Band" game. After all, he was the guy who got the project going.

His latest comments about it to musicradar.com leave no doubt. He's an unabashed fan.

"It's been one of my biggest joys to be involved with a company as great as Harmonix. And I'm not hyping in the least when I say 'The Beatles: Rock Band' is going to blow people's minds. It's going to set a new standard for video games. I absolutely love it and can't wait for music fans and gamers to get their hands on it."

In a podcast on the site, he went into a little more detail on how the game was developed.

"You know I've always been a gamer and I love 'Rock Band." I love 'Guitar Hero.'  ... When the idea came up between us just in jest, it was such a good idea that  ... even though we didn't think it was going to happen, we couldn't really not ask the question. And, you know, there's so many new ways of delivering your music to the people digitally that video games prove to be a great outlet for musicians. I mean I have songs from thenewno2 in 'Rock Band' right now. It's a great way of getting your music out there. So it seemed like a natural thing to do. And we look forward to launching it in two weeks' time at E3. We're going to be doing a big demo there."

Harrison says he's been involved with the game from the ground up.

"I kind of worked with Alex (Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos) on the presentation of the initial idea. Right from the beginning, I was trying to get the company enthusiastic about it and just be a link between Harmonix and Apple and try and get everyone's head into gear so they could see how great this opportunity was. So I kind of was there right from the start. It evolved and became better than I ever could have imagined. I now test the game. And they send me a couple of builds every week. ... The last two years we've been slowly chugging along and now there's 300 people working all day long on it and it's coming out in September."

Harrison says he is committed to making the game the best it can be.

"I'm involved in all aspects of creatively making this as historically accurate as possible. For the music lovers and for the gamers, my job is basically let's make it as good as we possibly can and be as accurate as we can. ... It's all worked out very well. Everyone who's been involved has been great. "

And when things get bogged down, how do they fix that?

"Basically everytime we get so stressed out, we just go and play the game. It's so fun ... then we just go back to working."

Thank God for Dhani. If not for him the Apple brass would still be sitting there with their collective thumbs up their a.... Has anyone thought to ask Dhani, since he seems quite involved in Apple projects---again thank God---if he's heard the remastered Beatles' CDs and if so, what he thinks of them?
