Oh man, this one really hurts. Peter and Gordon were so great. I also enjoyed "... and Gordon", his solo LP that he released after the duo went their separate ways. 64 is way too young.

Very sad news indeed; I was just yesterday reading Rick Glover's article in Beatlefan about Peter & Gordon's appearance recently in Atlanta Ga. Their music and harmonies will live on forever...

You know John, All I've ever posted is the truth. Some addicts can't deal with that. I know many of his friends who feel the exact same way as me. We all loved him, we just couldn't stand to watch him do himself in and he wouldn't let us help. Nothing two faced about it. There's nothing I've said/posted that I wouldn't say it to his face. He had my phone #'s and I tried many times to call him without getting a return call over the last 2 years. But if you got a problem with anything I've said, then that's your problem. You should be a man and email me in private instead of posting it all here. I have no idea even who you are.

I was just thinking of Gordon last night. Strange. I had asked Gordon to Volunteer with Pepperland Music of Orange Ca to be on PBS Channel 28's pledge drive in Hollywood. He was joined by Billy of Dino, Desi and Billy, David Sommerville of The Diamonds and 4 Preps, Arnie Marcus of the Rip-Chords, Jewell Akins, and others. I remember Billy and Gordon taking off to do some songs after they just met and possibly doing a Petter and Gordon thing. I suggested they call themselves Billy's Peter...and Gordon. They both laughed. I was fortunate to suggest Gordon contact a Beatles Con in La, which turned into a nice gig through the years. Joinging Gordon for a drink in the 90's was always fun, especially the stories. I will miss him.

As president of Come Together Beatles Club of San Diego, I had the pleasure to contact Gordon and to have him perform at our annual BeatleFair. Gordon and I became good friends and he returned to charm us at our BeatleFair again and again. His San Diego friends and fans will always treasure the time we had with him and the chance to here his wonderful music. I know that he is up there now smiling down on us. Our love and prayers to his family and to Peter.

    I go to pieces.
Thanks, Peter and Gordon for those great songs of the 1960s. I'd have heartbreak over a girlfriend and I'd play your music and then I'd feel better.
We shall always miss you, Gordon.
