A third show, 6:30 p.m. July 21, has now been added to the McCartney Citi Field concerts.
These are in addition to the shows at 6:30 p.m. July 17-18.
The online sale started at 10 a.m. ET this morning (Monday) at www.507tixx.com. The listing for the new show can be seen there.
Update: The official announcement for the addition of the third show, which came in after we posted our news item, said the first two shows sold out in five minutes.
Due to overwhelming fan demand, Paul McCartney has added a third concert at Citi Field – the new home of the Mets – Tuesday, July 21 after tickets to his historic July 17 and July 18 shows sold out in 5 minutes.
Actually, the people who sweated over the presale the last three days (two on 507tixx, three on AMEX) might have something to say about that.

Did anyone else have the problem of just sitting there staring at the "countdown clock" for 20 or so minutes? I'm glad he added a third show but I wish better seats were available to purchase. I'm the one from an earlier post that had 5th row center at the pre-sale and it disappeared before my eyes. So, that's what I want again..and it ain't happening! Thanks for letting me vent.
Susan I had problems with the clocks as well for about 20 minutes. I couldn't access the site until about 11:25 or so. However, as soon as I clicked in for the 3rd show FLR center seats in the A4 section appeared. I couldn't get them because I already got FLR seats for the first show but I'm now angry I didn't wait because my seats are not as good as the ones I found today.
I had no problem getting seats for the third show, only an hour on the phone..........secound show very limited seats left but not sold out, but thank god he added a third
we had 3 laptops going and opened up different windows in each, but couldnt get on for friday/saturday shows, just the countdown clock!!Could have got A6 tix for tuesday, but we cant do that day...maybe try stubhub or ebay...ANY news on Boston shows???
I spent quality time with the countdown clocks this morning. I already have fairly good seats for Saturday, but was hoping some in the first floor sections were released. It is good to know that I still have hope - no front section tickets, but for a minute (or 30) there I was hoping.
Another comment: People on boards keep asking why is it that he comes to NYC so often and not other places - this is why. He can sell out three stadium shows in a short time and go home and sleep in his own bed after the shows.
I got a Friday ticket for A3 and a Saturday ticket for A1 6th row! Luckily I'm going alone or that would not have happened (one good ticket is much easier to get than 2 or more good tickets).
oh and Paul if you're reading this (yeah, right!) please do "MAYBE I'M AMAZED" either Friday or Saturday night!
