Sorry, obviously I am super excited about this, but I sincerely believe for 100% accuracy, The Apple on "Let It Be" CD should be RED! as originally issued, NOT GREEN! The first goof spotted...lol

Steve: Have you listen to the remastered CD's yet and I was wondering if you were at the comparison test held a the Capital Tower, if so were the old masters played at the same volume as the newly made ones because if they were not played at the same volume you would tend to like the songs that were played at the higher volume. I've been to many listening test and this has been proven to be the case for many trained listeners.

I agree with Paul.... the RED apple should have adorned the Let It Be remaster.

Not really a goof on "Let It Be," Paul. The British "LIB" album had a green apple, (as did the Canadian, Mexican, and most other releases). It was red in the US because Apple's Allen Steckler wanted it that way and b/c the US "LIB" was distributed by United Artists and not Capitol. I think the German and French "LIB" albums may have been red as well. See Bruce Spizer's book, "Yhe Beatles on Apple Records" for further details.

Steve Ryan Is correct. The apple label on the new remaster of LET IT BE would be the GREEN rather then RED Because don't forget ,APPLE is constructing the format as the BRITISH releases and not the AMERICAN. Had it been done like the CAPITOL versions 1 & 2 that we got a few years ago, then the Apple for Let It Be would have been RED. So Paul who wrote the apple should be red, It's no mistake.

The MMT lable should be like the British ep of the same name, not the US version. I am sure that the could have added the songs from side two of US version onto the lable somehow...

I think for the amount of money that they are charging, LET IT BE should be recreated the Box set PSX-1. Perhaps it would have cost $3-5 dollars more per set, but hey Paul, Ringo, Oliva, and Yoko could take less royalties or just pass the extra cost on to people buying the same music for the umpteenth time.

I believe "Let It Be" on dvd should follow these releases for Christmas, or at least early 2010 for the 40th Anniversary. There is still some Capitol releases that havent surfaced yet either, particularly "Yesterday & Today" and "Live At The Hollywood Bowl". I believe Live At HB should coincide or be packaged with "Live At Shea" on DVD.

Oops...forgot "A Hard Day's Night UA Soundtrack"...reissued by Capitol in 1979, and "Beatles Story"

Responding to PEDegan - the "Magical Mystery Tour" track listing and front cover art match the Capitol LP, rather than the Parlophone double EP, so it's appropriate for the disc to show a Capitol label.

For people who want to be morbidly picky about the cover art on the new CDs, the stereo "Magical Mystery Tour" sleeve seems to lack the "Includes 24-page full color picture book" bar that appeared on the original cover. (The bar can be seen, though, on the mono cover. Does this mean the full book is in the mono sleeve but not the stereo? Let the speculation begin!)

I believe the MMT book is featured in the Mono box, yes.

I saw a photo of the dvd mini documentary disc, and its a red apple, not green.
