Beatle artist Shannon, whose work has been exhibited in Liverpool at the Hard Day's Night Hotel and the Cavern Club and who was declared "The World's Greatest Beatles Artist" by the city's Lord Mayor, will be able to chalk up another triumph come this fall.

The John Lennon tribute concert Dec. 9 at Liverpool's Echo Arena to climax the John Lennon tribute season in the city this year will feature an updated version of her montage "The Seven Faces of John Lennon," originally painted in 1997, as its backdrop.

The new version will feature two new images of John added just for the occasion. Shannon told us in a phone interview these will include a picture of Lennon around the time of the Plastic Ono Band time and another from his teenage years at around 15 years old. That will make the number of images nine, a number which had very special significance for John Lennon in many respects, including the dates of both his and son Sean's birthday.

Also added to the montage, she said, will be images of the Liver Building in Liverpool and the Dakota in New York.

In February, she created a wine collectible using the Beatles butcher cover

Absolutely nothing original about this painting ...all it is is a copy of past photographs put into a poster.

It's really ashame that someone thinks you could copy photograghs and put them on a poster and no more thought is put in to the work itself. This is airbrush first off. I know I can't take a still of someone and with my own free hand make it look as real as this and get the Lennon estate to sign off on it. But Shannon can, did and does!! Absolutely nothing original about "Rock Singer"

My word, what a horrible painting. Some people have no aesthetic sensibility.

Wow! It is amazing how people will jump on someone else's glory and hard work and try to put it to shame instead of simply giving a pat on the back and saying - good job!
I agree with Beatles Fan. This is a painting...not Photoshop or cut and paste. I have seen this painting up close on display in Atlantic City and it is brilliant and beautiful. I also met Shannon there and what a humble and wonderful soul she was. So down to earth.
Anyone hear have this kind of talent to back up their distasteful words or are you just simply stating your opinion out of jealousy and regret for your own useless lives?
Great job Shannon! If you get to read this - The majority of us are very proud of you and look forward to seeing more of your art in the future.

    Hey Jake McKelvy,

Do you know if there will be a velvet version of the John Lennon painting so I can put it up in my living room next to my velvet airbrushed Elvis... If you look at the art work of John & Yoko you can see creativity at work.... now take a good look at this so call painting...what I see is a copy of some of the greatest photos of John ever taken, if you ask me the author of this painting owes the photographers of those photos some $$$$.

Say, hey there Rock Star. You have a Velvet Elvis in your living room? That explains a lot!

Peace and Love to you, too!

PS: Love you and your work, Shannon. We always have. You put the band in the best light.
