Winter hasn't arrived yet, but the Colorado Rockies are already thinking about spring.
On Friday, the Rockies announced their 31-game spring schedule, with 15 of those contest at their home park, Hi Corbett Field in Tucson, Ariz. The Rockies will open spring training March 4 with a "road" game, even though they won't even leave Tucson, against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The squad's first home game will be March 6 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Six of the team's first eight spring training games will be on the road. The Rockies have trained at Hi Corbett since 1993.
Games of note on the Rockies' home schedule are contests March 15 against the Chicago Cubs and March 25 against the Cincinnati Reds. This will be the Reds' first spring training as part of the Cactus League. The team has trained in Florida since 1946.
The Rockies' final two pre-season games will be against the Seattle Mariners at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, N.M. Tickets for the April 2-3 contests can be obtained by calling (505) 924-2255.
