Masato Akamatsu may not be a household name in the United States, but his athletic abilities half a world away have landed him a home on YouTube.

Akamatsu of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp made an amazing catch Tuesday night with both feet up on the outfield wall and a twisting grab of a home-run ball that is sure to make nearly everyone, including the long-ball robber Torii Hunter himself, smile. One of the only individuals not amused by the stunt is the hitter , Yokohoma's Shuchi Murata, who can only turn back and jog to the dugout in the aftermath of the unbelievable grab.

The catch had already gotten more than 700 web hits by Wednesday evening.

An added feature of Akamatsu's catch is his nimble footwork as he somehow avoids the banner just inches from him with both feet - and is able to land safely back on the field.

The appreciative crowd shows their support for Akamatsu's efforts with a round of applause, and even Akamatsu himself seems to be stunned for a moment before flashing a smile realizing what he has just done.

Take a look at the video and judge the catch for yourself.
