By the end of this weekend, two Oakland A's will have spread more than their fair share of holiday cheer.

By Sunday afternoon, it would be hard to fault the A's Rajai Davis and Brad Ziegler if they change the radio station should "Jingle Bells" or "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" comes over the Bay area airwaves. The two will likely hear the songs countless times as they are the face of the A's this weekend at several public and private holiday events.

Davis, the third-year centerfielder, and Ziegler, the rookie pitcher, will be the main attractions for the 2009 A's Holiday Caravan. The pair, along with team mascot Stomper, will be at several community events, as well as meet-and-greets at hospitals, parades and malls.

The three will kick off their public appearances from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Walnut Creek Holiday Tree Lighting at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. They will ride in the parade down Broadway Street; and after the parade will sign autographs and take photos with fans at the A's sales table.

Other public Caravan appearances are:

Friday: Davis and Ziegler will sign autographs from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Kelly-Moore Paints store, 2050 San Ramon Valley Blvd., San Ramon. Autographs and photo opportunities will be available for anyone making a donation to the Oakland A's Community Fund.

Saturday: Davis and Ziegler will meet shoppers from 2 to 3 p.m. at Verizon Wireless, 3990 Hollis St., Emeryville. Used cellular telephones will be collected for Verizon's Hopeline program. The pair will be joined by Stomper and meet shoppers from 4 to 6 p.m. in Grand Court at Stoneridge Shopping Center, 2611 Stoneridge Mall, Pleasanton. Photo opportunities and autographs will be available to anyone donating $5 or more to the Simon Youth Foundation.

Sunday: Stomper will make an appearance from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at Mrs. Claus' Breakfast Nook, located in Venture Hall of the Tech Museum, 201 S. Market St., San Jose, prior to the San Jose Holiday Parade. Stomper will be joined by Davis and Ziegler from 8:30 to 11 a.m. for the 28th annual parade. The parade begins at Santa Clara Street and Demas Avenue near the HP Pavilion. Davis and Ziegler will conclude their public appearances with an autograph session from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the San Jose Holiday Parade's Christmas in the Park.
