Spiced Place Market featuring DonQ Anejo
When one thinks of Seattle, things like heavy coffee consumption at Starbucks, the Space Needle, grunge music made popular by local bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam and constant, excessive rainfall come to mind. For over the last 100 years, Pike Place Market has been Seattle’s most popular tourist attraction. The market is home to local fresh seafood retailers, fresh produce stands, craft stalls and a number of small restaurants and antique shops. The market is also home to the Market Spice Tea Shop, which has been producing the Pacific Northwest’s most popular tea since 1911.
Market Spice tea is a special black tea blend that consists of cinnamon, dried orange peel and spices. The tea’s flavor profile is strong enough to stand on its own without having to add anything to it like sugar or cream. But cold weather during the winter months sometimes makes it necessary to add a little something extra to spike up any warm tea.
A rich and smooth rum such as DonQ Anejo provides a perfect match for a strong tea like Market Spice. DonQ Anejo is a Puerto Rican rum that is aged anywhere from three to five years in American white oak bourbon barrels, adding to its complex flavor.
The Spiced Place Market combines the strong and spicy flavor profile of Market Spice tea with the smooth taste of DonQ Anejo rum, creating the ultimate warm, winter drink.
Spiced Place Market
