On Friday, the Facebook pages for Mura, Sono, and The Oxford all touted the upcoming openings of two new ventures by their parent company Eschelon Hospitality. The posts included links to the websites for the new places, called Trim and The Ivy. According to the Triangle Tattler, these clubs will take the place of The Pourch and Bassment, which closed its doors for good this weekend.
Located at 407 Glenwood Ave., the two-level building will house The Ivy upstairs and Trim downstairs. Websites for both clubs, which simply include the logo of each venue, the address, and the words "coming soon..." were created this weekend.
The Facebook page for Trim announces "an upscale night club with great DJs, extensive bars," while The Ivy's page describes the venue as only a "new lounge coming to The Glenwood South district." Both clubs provide an opening date of "summer 2010."
