This Saturday, April 17th, The Pit BBQ presents Downtown Raleigh's first outdoor festival of the season: the 2nd annual North Carolina Cuegrass Festival. The festival funs from 11am - 4pm Saturday and will take place on Davie Street (which will be closed to traffic) outside The Pit, says the festival website.
The menu for Cuegrass will feature BBQ cooked by Pitmaster Ed Mitchell, complemented by a selection of beers from North Carolina breweries including LoneRider, Big Boss, Carolina Brewing Company, and Mother Earth.
The family-friendly festival will also feature live music performed by Southern Culture on the Skids, Old Habits, Jackass Flats, and the Sons of Ralph Duo.
Admission is free to all, and BBQ sandwiches will set you back just $5. Beers from the local brerweries will also sell for just $5, and it's all for a good cause: proceeds from the event will benefit the W.C. Breeze Family Farm and the Future Farmers of America.
