Carolina Ale House Cary celebrates new draft choices with Pints & Pipers party

In the past couple of years, local and national craft brews have seen a surge in popularity - both in Raleigh and across the nation. In fact, 2010 saw an 11% increase in craft beer sales according to prominent beer trade groups the Beer Institute and the Brewers Association.

To take advantage of this trend, many local bars have begun serving a selection of craft beers in recent months. Carolina Ale House, though, has taken that idea to the extreme, recently installing a 72-tap bar on the patio of their Cary location. The new beer menu is expansive to say the least, featuring a variety of Ambers, Ales, Porters, Pilsners, Wheats, Bocks, Pale Ales, and IPAs, among others. Also on the menu are combinations known as "mixed beer drinks." These include drinks like the Snakebite, which combines Harp Lager with Crispen Cider. Several high gravity brews are featured as well.

Once the installation of the new taps is complete, Carolina Ale House Cary will be celebrating the grand re-opening of the patio bar with a Pints & Pipers Lawn Party. The party takes place on Wednesday, July 20th, and will feature $3 pints (except high gravity) for sampling those new brews. Raleigh cover band The Magic Pipers will provide live music from 7-11pm.
