As reported previously, Motley Crue rocker Vince Neil has parted ways with the Las Vegas location of Feelgood’s Rock Club. Following up to that story, Vince has given an exclusive interview to Robin Leach, detailing the events that led up the break. A Federal court order was issue today that removes the right of any further use of the Feelgood’s name. The problems with the club have also spread to his tattoo venue inside the RIO Hotel and Casino.
Vince told Robin that the problems started sometime in August after being owed hundreds of thousands of dollars from an unorthodox agreement to not take a licensing fee when the club opened in order to give them time to get established. After the year anniversary, Vince’s partner sought out new managing partners and obtained a state trademark for the name Feelgood’s which is superseded by Vince’s federal trademark. According to Vince, the new managing partners were trying to take over the club without paying him so his attorneys sent a cease and desist letter which they responded to by saying that they now owned Feelgood’s.
Vince stated that he has the court order and if the current managing partners do not comply, the Sheriff will go in and shut it down. He wants everybody to know that he will have nothing to do with their club. They have to remove all signage and the venue cannot be called Feelgood’s. The Federal trademark even includes the colors, the black and red, and the font typestyle. Vince plans on opening another club which he has already found another location and is in the process of seeing what is needed to turn it into Feelgood’s
Vince also told Robin that a lawsuit is currently being drawn up and will be filed next week for the year of contributions that were never received from the profitable club. He removed all of his memorabilia that was still in the club a week ago. Vince was also in business with his partner at the tattoo venue at the RIO which will have to shut down temporarily while a new agreement with Harrah’s is drawn up and then reopen. It is undetermined whether it will remain in the same location or not.
As a follow up to the request for comment from multiple sources within Feelgood’s, I was contacted by multiple sources within Feelgood’s which will remain unnamed, but stated that Vince’s statements to Robin Leach are lies and his side of the story. ‘Their side of the story’ was not given other than a request to remove my previous story reporting on Robin Leach’s first interview with Vince and links to it and the VegasDeluxe.com story from the Las Vegas Nightlife Examiner page.
Vince gave these interviews exclusively to Robin Leach and VegasDeluxe.com and all credit goes to Robin and VegasDeluxe.com. Photos supplied are copyrighted by me, Sin City Examiner and the Las Vegas Nightlife Examiner.
