Geoff Tate making the Sax dance
Queensryche brought their newest venture 'Queensryche Cabaret' to a city built on Cabaret and Strip Clubs to a packed house at the new Crown Theatre, inside the RIO. Geoff Tate's vocals mixed in with a little T & A along with Michael Wilton's screaming guitar riffs, kept the crowd on their toes, wondering just what was going to be next.
Ballet, Caberet, Trapeze, you name it and the show had it. Dancers on portable stripper poles in the corners of the stage did not take the attention off of Geoff Tate's multiple costume changes and scene themes. Songs that are normally off the radar at normal Queensryche shows like Thin Line, Tribe and The Art of Life were represented with the kind of flair saved for Cirque du Soleil shows.
Geoff Tate's voice ruled the house just like it did 30 years ago and his ability to conduct the show like a maestro was impressive. This change from the norm worked well in the Crown Theatre with it's design almost meant for the type of show it housed. Dont miss this show if you have a chance, you will not be sorry.

Comments
Not sure I agree with his comments about the Queensryche show here in Vegas, the music was awesome as always, but the show lacked entertainment.
What comments? Everything he said was right on. The article describes exactly what the show was, as I saw it as well from the front row, right being Kevin shooting the photos.
Whether someone thinks the cabaret part of the show is good or not is a matter of taste and opinion, but as reviewed by many other Queensryche fans, the show was a huge hit.
Kev, your pics rock man!
The show lacked entertainment? What show were you watching? If the music was awesome, wouldn't the show be therefore, entertaining? Hello......McFly! Regardless if you just happen to not like the Cabaret part of the show, which you are one of the few, how many of the fans on the floor left before the show was over? Exactly.
I guess if you dont know Queensryche music, you wouldn't know how to correlate the lyrics to the show's themes. They fit perfectly with the songs that they were matched with.
