It’s so nice to read about bar/restaurants doing noble work for significant causes and this Sunday, March 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. women are invited to attend a Ladies Brunch and Pampering Party for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Todd Conner’s, 700 South Broadway in Fells Point.
For a $5 donation, ladies will be treated to a free mimosa and a free raffle ticket for a prize of your choosing (and of course, you will be able to purchase additional raffle tickets to improve your chances of winning something that day). The prizes are things like spa treatments and gift certificates.
As you’d expect, they will be offering their normal brunch menu at a discounted price and discounted drinks like $3 bloodies, mimosas and screwdrivers. Their brunch menu includes some pretty scrumptious selections like: strawberry almond French toast, eggs Chesapeake, egg ‘n cheese bagel, omelets and a few more lunch-type offerings as well, like an overstuffed turkey wrap, a veggie burger and a crab and avocado salad.
Word on the street here in Fells Point is that Jessica, one of the owners of nearby Café Latte Da, is baking some goodies for the event…so ladies, best to wear something cute with an elastic or stretchy waistband, just in case you decide to indulge in some sort of amazing pastry for which Jessica is so well known.
All proceeds will be donated to the 10-week Man and Woman of the Year campaign and will go to support such worthwhile services as: blood cancer research, financial assistance to cover patient expenses for transportation, medication and testing, educational materials and local programs such as family support groups and First Connection, a peer-to-peer counseling program.
Todd Conner’s is a great little spot at the corner of Aliceanna and Broadway. With over 38 wines from which to choose and a very nice, well-rounded menu, Todd Conner’s is quickly winning many fans. They even offer a kids menu, as their owners know what it’s like to try to feed the little ones when the parents want to go out to grab a bite.
For more information about Sunday’s event, please call Todd Conner’s at 410-537-5005 or they would love to have you just come by to show your support.
Coming up: what to drink and where to be for the Academy Awards.
