So many shoes, so little time, or so it goes at Shoegasm, New York City’s discount shoe emporium. With three Manhattan locations, Shoegasm has a huge inventory, making sure the clearance section is always stocked. Right now, summer styles are 70% off (yes you read correctly) to make way for fall. Jael Rivera, the store’s assistant accessories buyer, talked to me about fall footwear trends and picked out some of Shoegasm’s sure-to-be-bestsellers.
Knee-high boots: Boots are always a major fall staple but this season, boots are creeping up even higher on the leg. “This fall, boots are coming up even higher,” says Rivera. “It’s either ankle booties or super high boots, nothing in between.” Not ready to embrace the thigh-high trend yet? Try these knee high boots by Nicole for $199.95.

Ankle booties: Ankle booties are universally flattering, which is why they’ve stuck around for a few seasons. These by Kelsi Dagger have a low cut ankle, which elongates your legs. Update the bootie look for fall with playful details like studs, ribbons or flowers. “Flowers have definitely crossed over from clothes to shoes for fall,” says Rivera. These Kelsi Dagger boots are $198.

Platform pumps: Round-toe pumps have definitely surpassed stilettos as the standard heel staple. Liven up your pumps with a pop of color or a super high heel. “A lot of boots and heels are coming with an extra raised platform,” says Rivera. “It gives you a little extra height and support.” These electric blue patent pumps by Devani are $79.90.

Granny boots: If they look like you found them in grandma’s closet or Salvation Army, then they’ll be big for fall. “Everything vintage is coming back strong,” says Rivera. Case in point are these Stormy Weather ankle boots by BC Footwear which are modernized with a sliver wedge heel. Plus, they’ll only set you back $79.95.

Bondage heels: Think straps, studs and chains in this edgy fall trend. This style is not for the minimalist, says Rivera. “Mixing materials is huge right now; leather, suede, glitter and studs are big.” These strappy heels by Jeffrey Campbell are $169.95.

The granny boot style is called "Stormy Weather" and are made by BC Footwear. The blue pumps are not by BC
I must have that ankle bootie with the grey flower to go with my new cloth from H&M
I couldn't find these shoes on the site and I love them -- I called the store and ordered there. (212) 691-2091
