According to multiple media reports, wide receiver Derrick Mason has reached a two-year deal to re-sign with the Baltimore Ravens.
After reaching the new agreement with Mason, GM Ozzie Newsome said, "we know exactly what we're getting with Derrick and that's production."
Mason caught 73 passes, for 1,028 yards and seven scores in 2009. After being the Ravens' go-to receiver for the past five seasons, Mason will likely start opposite newly-acquired Anquan Boldin; leaving Mark Clayton and Donte' Stallworth to battle for reps as the slot receiver.
However, it is possible that Mason could move to the slot, rather than remain on the outside. Terms of the deal are not yet known. More to come.
