Adam Jones pulled over during XM Radio interview; Sarfate doubles back to Baltimore

I don't know how to make a joke out of this one because it's already pretty funny.  Adam Jones was conducting a telephone interview on XM's MLB Home Plate show on Wednesday when he was pulled over by police in Arizona.  Apparently, there is not law in Arizona outlawing talking while driving.  Jones was pulled over for having windows that are too tinted.

Jones was allegedly wearing a headset during the interview.  Don't believe me?  Ask his mom.  She sent this message to Craig Calcattera earlier today.

Jones is currently in Arizona for offseason training.  The stop did not result in major legal ramifications and Jones will be available to report to Spring Training as scheduled.

So there you have it, kids.  In Arizona, you can talk on your cell phone while driving all you want.  But you cannot under any circumstances try to shield yourself from the ceaseless sun.

Sarfate clears waivers

In other news, Dennis Sarfate has cleared waivers and accepted a Spring Training invite with the Orioles.  He will report to Sarasota on February 17th and try to win a spot in the bullpen.

After telling MASN's Roch Kubatko last week that "I hope I get to pitch for another team," Sarfate now tells Roch that both Sarfate and his wife "love Baltimore."  He continues, "If they give me a legitimate chance to make the team, I am excited and happy about it."

In at least one of these instances, Mr. Sarfate, it would appear your pants were on fire.
