Are you looking for that special dessert or melt-in-your-mouth bread sure to please your crowd? Look no further than La Farm Bakery and Cafe in Cary, NC. Their pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) is worth every penny: flaky layers of pastry filled with delectable chocolate. If you want to really indulge, get their almond pain au chocolat. This morsel is filled with sweet almond cream and chocolate!   If you prefer to delve into their selection of artisan breads like asiago parmesan cheese, you MUST get their sun-dried tomato spread too. This duo is fantabulous!

Enjoy your treats in the cozy atmosphere of La Farm’s café. The bakery expanded into the adjacent unit offering their customers a comfortable place to eat. If you go for lunch, beware, it is a bustling place!

La Farm uses unbleached / unbromated flours that allow them to make healthier and more colorful products. The bakery does not use artificial colors or preservatives.

Owner Lionel Vatinet opened La Farm in 1998. Lionel, a Master Baker, was a member of Team USA’s 1999 contingent to France’s La Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie. His American team won the Gold Medal that year.

Residents can also find Lionel’s handcrafted breads, tarts, pastries, and sandwiches at Moore Square Farmers Market and the State Farmers Market in Raleigh, and at Herons Restaurant in the Umstead Hotel in Cary.

Along with their retail outlets, La Farm offers some pretty cool services indicative of today’s dynamic and competitive environment: private and corporate how-to or team building classes, birthday parties, seasonal classes, and catering services. You absolutely have to visit their website for more information about their offerings AND to see their gorgeous food platters:
