Jake Pavelka is "ecstatic" with the decision he makes in the Bachelor season finale, which airs in one week on Monday, March 1.
"I know it was the right decision for me," Jake told ET Online. The pilot, who won't confirm whether or not he's currently engaged or dating any of the finalists, let it slip in an interview that he didn't have plans on Valentine's Day.
(Some say Jake could end up picking no one in the end, like Bachelor Brad Womack. But most sources say Jake chooses Vienna. The real question is whether or not he is still with one of the women.)
"I am ecstatic with the decision that I have made," Jake says. "Now, whether it's the right decision for any of the other women, or anybody watching, I don't know, but, it puts me in a really good position to live my life, and I'm really happy that I stayed true to myself."
So much changed in the final week of filming, because before she left, Jake says Ali Fedotowsky was his frontrunner. "That night, when she left, she was ahead of all of the other women," he says. "I can't tell you if she was going to be 'The One,' but, that night, if somebody had said, 'Gun's to your head. Pick a girl,' it would've been her."
Monday's Women Tell All episode will feature interviews with the booted contestants, who will face Jake for the first time since being eliminated from the show. Ali and Rozlyn Papa and are among the women to take the "hot seat."
"There are times I regret [leaving]," Ali recently told People.com. "I have consistently put my career first and maybe that’s why I’m single. When I saw Jake at Women Tell All, I felt a lot of regret. But when I’m sitting at my desk I think, 'I love this job. I made the right choice.' If I had to choose between love and work again, I might choose love. I need to start focusing on that more."
Ali says spoke to her mother before choosing the leave the show. "I said, 'I’m falling in love with this boy. What happens if I quit and Jake doesn’t pick me in the end?' She said, 'I saw you together. He loves you. You should stay.' "
Ali, who says she didn't believe in herself then, says she she'd be excited by the opportunity to be the next Bachelorette. But the fear of choosing love over her job would be a big hurdle to jump.
"I had to make a tough choice whether to stay or leave because of work. I’d be faced with that decision again, but I would challenge myself to put love first," she says.
"It’d be very difficult for me because I’ve never met a guy and been attracted right away. Usually I have several interactions and become attracted to their mind instead of the first impression. I might not be any good because I’d be drilling everyone."

If he pick that crossed eyed Vienna, I quit watching the show!
I meant to say...If he picks that cross eyed Vienna, I quit watching the show!
I wouldn't love a job that made me choose between getting fired and finding a husband. Didn't they know that she was doing The Bachelor?
Well the leaks are correct he just said bye to Tenley the normal all american sweet girl with morals for that so obvious whoreable Vienna! This turd Jake is going yo get exactly what he deserves in the end..........drama from a trashy under cover gold digger
I just hope he realizes that lust is not love and looks do go after awhile Vienna was the complete wrong choice for him. I am appalled that he picked her it just goes to show that he loves her for her morals, her smile, her heart, how they connect together but something is not natural yeah its because your clouded by Vienna
Please don't tell me why you love me and that you love me then crap on me and cry like a lil baby. Vienna is not the right one for you and i feel bad for you when you realize the mistake you made because you will realize it and it will be too late
He didn't give her the chance to be playful he put her on a pedistol and was unfair to her
The sweet girl that really deserves love never gets picked and half of the relationships never work when the guy was wavering in his decision.
I completely agree with your posts Christy, Jackie, and Maggie! Well Said
Jake and Vienna deserve each other. For someone with such morals, he wants a girl like Vienna.... he's such a creep. Jillian was right to dump him. At least she could see Jake for what he was.... a very poor choice.
The real rose here is that Jake's family had Vienna's number right off the bat! She had to convince them a little too hard didn't she. Jake should have listened to his mother's first impression on this one girls....sorry to sound cliche
OMG did you see the after show for Bachelor....it makes me ill! Sweet Tenley was on and confronted Jake w/why she wasn't a chemistry match? Yada Yada....Then they bring Vienna out with her skanky self....how can most all of America be wrong about an impression on one person? The highlight of the show was they announced Ali will be the new bachelorette! Guess that is supposed to be our conelation prize everyone! LOL In the end that idiot pilot says he and Vienna are going to shackin up in Dallas for a while while their families meet etc etc.....doesn't that prove the lack of respect he really has for her. No pedestal for a pole dancing wanna be!
Come on it was obvious who he was going to pick. His eyes popped out of his head every time he saw or talked about Vienna. She had the body and the experience he needed. He didn't want class. And thats what men need 24 hours a day. Who are we kidding. BJ's all day!
He belongs with Ali
