Just weeks ago, Lieutenant Commander Andy Baldwin, M.D., was on tour with the U.S. Navy, providing medical aid to South and Latin Americans in need. Upon his return to the States, he took off for Seattle, where he fit in some charity work and gave some triathlon tips.
It goes without saying that keeping tabs on Dr. Andy Baldwin, star of 2007’s The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman (ABC), is a full-time job.
The avid humanitarian and former reality TV star says his friends can attest that he’s just a regular guy. But perhaps it’s the triathlete in Dr. Baldwin that pushes him to live life with a clear mission.
“Something I try to do everyday is just to aspire to inspire—to motivate other people,” Dr. Baldwin says. Now living in D.C. and working alongside the U.S. Surgeon General, he spends many days amongst school kids talking about exercise and healthy habits.
Examiner had the chance to talk with Dr. Baldwin about what’s up next and what he’s taken away from his stint on reality TV. In this mulii-part interview, he talks about what he’s learned from his dad, how he really felt about his edit on The Bachelor and his advice for Jason Mesnick before he filmed the show.
