Since ABC released the first Bachelor preview video in mid-October, fans have wondered where the newest installment of the reality dating should would take it's new star, Texas pilot Jake Pavelka. Now the network has revealed new details about The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love, including the location for this season's overnight dates, sexy St. Lucia.
Beginning Jan. 4 on the season premier, Jake will return to the show's mansion in Malibu where he'll entertain 25 single ladies, giving out one first impression rose (with the help of couple Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski). He'll have his work cut out for him as one woman attempts to play on the pilot's weakness by showing off a revealing flight attendant's uniform!
ABC's press release also states that Ed and Jillian will "share a special announcement with [Jake]." (Who thinks it's a wedding date?) During the night's rose ceremony, Jake will have to cut 10 women, leaving only 15 with the chance to win his heart. As he's told the media, Jake is sure that he's met his wife during the filming of The Bachelor--even if he wasn't sure at the time which one she was.
Throughout the rest of the season, Jake will take the ladies on several dates, including:
- A glamorous photo shoot for InStyle Magazine's February issue (with 6 bachelorettes)
- Plane ride to Palm Springs culminating in a private concert with the band Chicago (1 bachelorette)
- All-access pass to Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park (group date)
- Bungee jumping off Bridge to Nowhere in the San Gabriel Mountains (1 bachelorette)
- Ladies perform stand-up at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club (group date)
- Group road trip up the California coast
- Romantic dinner for Jake and two ladies in Napa Valley (who will he send home?)
- Dinner at the top of San Francisco's Coit Tower (1 bachelorette)
The ladies receiving the three final roses will take a trip to St. Lucia for "sexy overnight dates, as well as the thrilling finale."
The preview also reveals that Jake is in for some drama in this wild ride, "as he faces one bombshell after another on this journey of a lifetime. Secrets are revealed, emotions run deep and one bachelorette crosses a line that should never be crossed with devastating results."
