Henry enjoys his "The Red One" Smoothie Fruit from Ella's Kitchen
We all want to give our children the best, most natural food possible. Sure, some days we can't get them to eat anything but macaroni and cheese, but it makes me feel good to see my son eating broccoli and asking for seconds. Yes, this has actually happened. Once.
Paul Lindley, father of two, believed that his kids (and ours) "should have the opportunity to eat fun, tasty foods and also to discover that healthy food can be fun, tasty and cool." He developed Ella's Kitchen products, which are made from organic foods and don't contain anything that doesn't add nutritional value - that means no added sugar or salt.
Ella's Kitchen currently offers all-natural, organic baby and toddler foods and snacks. There are six stage one flavors, which include apples and bananas; carrots, apples and parsnips; and sweet potatoes, pumpkin, apples and blueberries. Stage one foods contain nothing but pureed organic fruits and vegetables - not even water! My friend tried the apple banana flavor with her five-month-old daughter, and said that the food tasted great and had just the right amount of natural texture. It wasn't brown like so many banana foods tend to be. She said that she appreciated the fact that the food was not runny as some major national-brand organic foods.
Ella's Kitchen Smoothie Fruits are great for toddlers and are really delicious (okay, yes, I tried them myself). They help little ones get the recommended five daily servings of fruit and come in convenient packages that kids can shake, squeeze and slurp. I always try to keep one or two Smoothie Fruits with me when I am out and about with my son. It's great to have something readily available for him that not only tastes great, but is healthy and natural. It makes me feel better about the mac and cheese.
Ella's Kitchen products aren't only tasty and healthy - they are also extremely convenient thanks to their innovative packaging. The foods come in cool pouches that ensure maximum freshness and are easy to stow in a diaper bag or purse. The pouches also have screwtop lids, which makes them resealable.
Ella's Kitchen foods can be found at your local Babies'R'Us or Toys'R'Us stores. Make sure to keep an eye out for more great, natural products from them in the future!
