Spring Sunrise Vinland Valley Airport
Winter is over, the cold dark day's have drifted away. The sun rises at Vinland Valley airport with a splendid show of bright warm colors, rising up into the sky creating a colorful back drop to the budding trees and hangar buildings.
Approaching the darkened hangar, the Aerotrek A240 seemed asleep, as if in hibernation from the long cold winter. As I flipped on the hangar light a mysterious glow fell over the red and white two tone colored dusty fabric skin of the A240.
As the new spring day swallowed up the early morning sunrise, the sound of birds singing echoed through out the hangar buildings, as if to be calling for the sleeping flying machines to awaken for a new spring season.

A240 Awakening
I climbed the ladder next to the A240 wings, slick mist spray and micro fabric towels in hand. The winter dust ever so carefully removed from the perfectly stretched fabric of the mighty A240 lifting surfaces.
One notices the occasional buzz of a bumble bee and horse fly doing acrobatic maneuvers, as they stretch their wings and awaken also, from winters grasp.
Pulling the A240 from the hangar almost seems easier than normal, making one wonder who wishes to get airborne sooner, pilot or plane?
As the A240 rolls out of its dim resting spot, the bright warm sun illuminates its perfectly built fabric covered frame. The stainless steel screws shine against the bright sun covered paint.

A240 On A Warm Spring Day
As one stands back to admire the beauty of the Aerotrek A240, it becomes easy to compare it to the Kansas spring season sunrise, one being created by the skilled hands of man, the other by hands far greater.
