Moab Easter Jeep Safari: Jeep Nukizer 715

To look at the Jeep Nukizer 715 passing in traffic, you would assume that you were seeing a 1960’s or 70’s era decommissioned Army truck on steroids with the old school grille style and drab green paint. Mopar began with a military-only Jeep J8, converting it from a 4-door to a 2-door and adding an AEV Brute pickup box designed for the Jeep TJ. The standard 116 inch wheelbase of the J8 has been stretched to 124 inches and the carbon fiber front clip is clearly designed after the Kaiser M-715 military truck with the upward front end and the distinct grille style of the vintage Jeeps. A Bestop soft-top provides the removable look of the military Jeeps and all it needs is a .50 cal machine gun mounted in the back to look like it just drove out of a warzone.

Under the hood, the Nukizer is powered by the standard 2.8L turbo diesel 4-cylinder and the power output has been increased thanks to a custom tune and increased boost but sadly, they don’t list the specs. The drivetrain of the Nukizer has been beefed up with a Dana 44 front axle and Dana 60 out back, both of which are fitted with 5.38 gears and ARB Airlocker differentials with the power coming from an Atlas II transfer case. The 38 inch BFGoodrich off-road tires are mounted on Hutchinson beadlock wheels adding to the ruggedly military look of the Nukizer.

Finally, the Jeep Nukizer has gotten a handful of other goodies like a Warn 9.5XP low profile winch, a Warn air compressor and a Garmin GPS Map 640 navigation unit so the Jeep Nukizer will go pretty much anywhere and make sure that you’re always headed in the right direction.

I think that this is easily one of the coolest Jeep concepts I have seen in years – even better than the Jeep Lower Forty. Mopar did a great job recalling the vintage Jeep look and applying it to this modern image vehicle.
