As "going green" and becoming environmentally friendly is becoming all the rage these days, the struggling GM is looking to hop on board apparently. Even to the extent of changing their classic blue logo to green in an attempt to show it's new commitment to ec-friendly products.
The Associated Press is reporting that the color change is being seriously considered and the decision making process is currently in the top levels of the company with General Motors design boss Ed Welburn heading a group that will ultimately make the decision on wheter or not to change the background color of the company's iconic logo.
General Motors is extremely high on this idea as it shows their commitment to the environment and their ability to make decisions quicker and more efficiently.
In a quite interesting side note, General Motors may also be considering changing their name from GM to GM Next, which is a catchphrase they have been using for some time now. It is unclear if this name change would coincide with the company's logo change.
GM's new image could arrive as soon as within the next few days as the company looks forward to emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy as early as tommorow.
