90% of driving decisions are based on clear vision, according to Jody DeVere, President and CEO of AskPatty.com. If you're driving around with a dirty, hazy windshield, your vision is impaired. Many of us ignore the windshield when washing the car. However tedious at the time, it is better to keep it clean. I like to wash the windshield and exterior widows while washing the car. Once the car is clean and dry I finish by applying a glass polish.
Rain-X is a perfect example of this. It takes no time at all to apply. Simply apply the product on a clean, dry cloth and wipe onto the windshield in a circular motion. A slight haze will appear. Once dry, buff it off.
Using a product such as this bonds and cures on the surface. When it rains, the water beads and is repelled off the windshield. This is good to use for everyday use, and especially important when highway traveling.
Often overlooked are wiper blades. Wiper blades are one of the simplest car parts to care for and replace ourselves. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most overlooked until the wipers are needed. Cleaning your wiper blades is quick and easy. Once you wash your windshield, just take a clean, damp cloth and wipe the blades clean. All wiper blades need replacing eventually. Caring for them properly when first put on will help keep them effective longer.
