4 of the most collectible autographs in
modern history. As a set the are
extremely rare.
Charlie asks:
Please advise your appraisal for the above items. If you need more information, let me know. This item is currently in a safe deposit box, but is accessible if necessary.
AW says: Well that's certainly quite an item if it's legitimate. I will give you my appraisal based on the assumption that the autographs are legitimate, however, I am not a handwriting expert and cannot verify whether or not they are. That said from the research I've done, the autographs appear to be consistent with the signatures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
Having all 4 autographs on one cover in their early years is about as good as it gets for Beatles autographs, so there is a big premium for that.
Date range: 1964-66
Retail value: $4500-$6500
(top price)
Wholesale value: $3000
(The midrange price you could expect to achieve at a well advertised live auction. The price that is most often realized)
Quick sale value: $1500
The price your likely to get if you have to sell your item immediately and your prospective customer is aware of this.
Common trade terminology: Fab Four, the Beatles, Silver Beatles, Johnny and the Moondogs, John, Paul George and Ringo, Meet the Beatles, Mop Tops, the Lads from Liverpool.
Care and storage tips: I would put this is acid free protection and keep it in a dry place out of direct sunlight. It would pay to have this authenticated by a hand writing expert.

Hi, I have collected Beatles signed items for a number of years and from what I can see from the small picture, they appear to not be genuine Beatles signatures
@Riggers, thanks for your input,as I said I'm not a handwriting expert, however I do have a larger copy of the the photo and from my comparisons to the photos of Beatles signatures located at the http://www.richardfrasermd.com/beatles.html,
they appeared to look good to me. I find it interesting that even among highly qualified handwriting experts, opinions will vary.
Autographs are a very dicey collectible investment and when one is paying a large amount I recommend getting several expert opinions.
From what I see, these are totally non authentic. Sorry to disappoint you but any professional will agree.
@ Carl, thanks for your input, no disappointment here. I clearly stated that I have no proof one way or the other that these are legitimate.
However a statement like yours holds no weight either unless you can site a source that would validate it.
Do you have a link with pictures to photos of proven signatures?
You said any professional will agree, are you a handwriting expert? If so, I'll gladly place a link here to your home page.
Thanks so much for the input.
AW
What would this album "meet the Beatles" without the autographs?
Sandie
Sorry, but having several Beatles items signed and authenticated, I can confirm that thoses are FORGERIES. Absolutley worthless.
