There will be many other antiques, fine art items and collectibles, but among the highlights in session 2 of this auction are jewelry by Tiffany, Bucherer, Georg Jensen and others.

Kaminski's Auctions of Beverly MA has been commissioned to auction contents from the estate of Robert Peterson founder of Jack-in-the-Box resturants. Included in the sale will be fine art, glassware, fine china,  Persian rugs, important Asian antiques, and much more.

Also included in the event will be a  midcentury collection of artwork of Mr. Elliott Gruenberg of West New York, New Jersey, former President of the Woodstock (VT) Art Colony, and an art collection of the late Clinton Rogers.

Robert O. Peterson (1916-1994)
Peterson  excelled at philanthropy and, in particular the fostering of new artists. He was a long-time Chairman of the Board of the American Craft Council, New York, New York, and in that position, he propelled the careers of many distinguished artists.

His collections were housed in his home, -- an impressive residence built by architect Russell Forester which was steel and glass structure with extraordinary Japanese references.

Some of the other highlights in this sale include:

  • A group of various Roman and Byzantine coins, including coins of Constantine I, Honorius, Valens, Constantius II.
  • Group of miscellaneous half dollars and dollars including nine (9) Liberty Walking,1917-1946, (ungraded); an album of Kennedy half dollars, 1964-2000
  • Pair of Tiffany 14k yellow gold and sapphire bracelets, 7" l., 2.2 oz., 40 dwt tw. Good condition, note: these bracelets can be attached together.
  • 18th-19th Century, Primitive American, 'Mary Anna', w/c on paper with pen and ink,16 1/2" x 14", 19" x 15" framed and glazed.
  • Circa 1800 American cherry Chippendale dropleaf table on casters, 27" h. x 48" l. x 17" w., plus two (2) 16 1/2" leaves. Good condition.
  • Carta Sincronologrica de Historia Universal', roll-up map of the history of the world from the stone age to the late 19th Century, oil cloth.
