Rare Lewis Carroll works - Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, to be auctioned

Alice is still sliding down that rabbit hole

Ever since she first fell into the rabbit hole, Alice has been on a never ending journey. Lewis Carroll's works: "Alice in Wonderland", and the sequel, "Through the Looking glass", have been the subject of study, plays and movies. Indeed, a new movie is coming out under the direction of Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp.

Charles Lutwidge Dodson, aka Lewis Carroll, created a fantasy world based on creatures who were in turned based on his friends.

We all know the story of Alice, her rabbit hole and the looking glass, indeed there are societies dedicated to the works of Lewis Carroll. Naturally, then, such a classic tale would have it's collectors and this does. Of satisfaction to the want of those collectors, should be a rare collection of Lewis Carroll's works, including 1st editions, hand inscribed books, even a hand done illustrations.

On December 16th, the books are being offered by iCollector.com via the Pat McInally Collection of Children's Literature Auction. This is the most significant amount of Lewis Carroll's work I've ever seen come to the auction block in one collection!

The entire auction of rare books as well as the Lewis Carroll collection, will be auctioned online.  If you'd like to register and leave an early bid, that option is available as is the option of bidding in real-time as the auction goes live. That choice may suit the more competitive auction goer.

Lots 23 through 34 of the auction are all Lewis Carroll works. See the slide show below for more details and estimated values.
