Quality classics sell well. That's been a mantra of mine since I can remember, and there is not much in the collectible investment arena that is hotter than the American "Arts & Crafts" period items. Here are some things that have sold recently on eBay and the prices they've achieved.
Dresser exhibition catalogue: This catalogque was printed in 1999, it sold for $124.99 with a $44.00 shipping fee. (It was shipped from the UK) The price achieved proves their is a lot of interest in the Arts & Crafts movement.
Rare full colour exhibition catalogue with prices.

This very scarce and comprehensive book is a truly unparalleled resource for all Dresser, Aesthetic Movement and English Arts and Crafts Movement collectors and enthusiasts. There are myriad objects featured and discussed, with an illustrated price list of all the items on show in the second half. The exhibition and accompanying publication was the fruit of five years of painstaking research and enlightened acquisition by Harry Lyons and presented a breaktaking array of works in differed media. There are several scholarly essays on particular areas of Dresser's output and the text is accompanied throughout by wonderful colour photographs.
The picture frame below was touted as likely being a Stickley Brothers frame. It sold for $63.00 with $25.80 for shipping. I do believe it was a Stickley frame, if you go to the eBay page to see more photos, you'll find that the corners of this Oak from were "mortised and tenoned", a quality joining process the Stickley's employed.
I can't help but think that the bidding would have gone better if the shipping fee was more reasonable.
$236.50 on eBay
It appears to be a Roycrofter's mark. The Roycrofters were a well known Utopian sect founded by Elbert Hubbard. They were famous for their metalcraft. It's made of bronze.

That article reads more like a commercial!
PLEASE read what's REALLY going on at ebay/Paypal from it's users by reading the threads throughout ebay's own discussion boards. Read users comments on the petition to remove John Donahoe, as ebay's CEO by doing an internet search of:

Go to glassdoor.com to see that CEO Donahoe's employees are fed up with him, also.

I'm sorry if your dissappointed in the article's content, but my price reports are exactly that, price reports and a reflection of the market.
I do many different types of articles including ones very critical of eBay's policy when I think it's appropriate to do so.
Should you go a little further into my back article archive, you'll find out I'm not Cheerleader for eBay on controversial issues.
You've cited several articles about eBay glicthces. Did you know that I published an article on such a flaw just last week?
I wish you the best with your "cause".
