The 1 year anniversary of Bonanzle.com is coming up this month. The site has seen incredible growth since it's launch last year, and is position to quickly overtake the #2 spot behind eBay in online selling platforms.
Recently, I caught up with the top Bonanzle educator, Phaedra who has been helping Bonanzlers since the site began.
She has carved out a niche with her http://www.learntosellonbonanzle.com website and has some pretty ambitious plans.
Here is my interview with her:
Q: Bonanzle is #3 site in back of eBay right now according to the most reputable tracking service on the Web, http://www.powersellersunite.com/auctionsitewatch.php It's astounding when you think that in just one year, Bonanzle has done what it took 10 years for the #2 eBay competitor to do. Why do you think the site had this growth explosion?
A: Bonanzle came on the scene when sellers were experiencing the highest level of frustration possible, massive changes on ebay had disillusioned many ecommerce merchants. Bonanzle offers a fresh community oriented approach that allows the seller to take control of their business, and enjoy open communication with their clients, truly a novel approach as ebay instituted more and more blocks and regulations to online sellers. In doing so, Bonanzle inspired a dedication from its users unseen since the early days of ebay.
Q: How long have you been selling on Bonanzle now?
A: I joined Bonanzle in the early days of the beta launch, I have an anniversary coming up! August 15 will mark one year of selling and being involved in Bonanzle.
Q: You've really established yourself as THE Bonanzle education expert. Was there every any point where you had doubts that this would be a good investment of your time?
A: Actually, yes, lol. From being involved in the forums helping out as much as possible, I could see a need for accurate, timely information to help users truly take advantage of all Bonanzle has to offer, but honestly it was that demand for information and help that truly drove the creation of learntosellonbonanzle.com The users seeking help, and my colleagues truly spurred me into action, and the creation of the site I definitely owe to all of them.
Q: Bonanzle has a very open platform, and the more open something is, the more potential it has for drilling deep. Can you give me some specifics as to what people will learn at http://learningtosellonbonanzle.com ?
A: My main goal with learntosellonbonanzle is to help each user drive their business forward and be as successful as they can be on Bonanzle. From the upcoming Batch editor class that will help save users tons of time, and frustration, to the Auctions on Bonanzle webinar which encourages thinking “outside of the box”, the site will provide accurate timely information on all things Bonanzle.
Q: You recently had a "How to Sell on Bonanzle" seminar, how did it go, and is there an after-product such as an eBook that those who could not attend may purchase?
A: That was an excellent class, with a wonderful group of attendees! I covered things such as branding your business on Bonanzle, to having a successful bonanza to a look at twitter and tweetdeck. Q: Most of the help you've given people with selling on Bonanzle has been free, will you keep this practice up?
A: I definitely will, remaining active in the Bonanzle forums answering questions and helping out and also offering free articles, ebooks, and webinars.

eCRATER.com trumps bonazle.com in webtraffic. eCRATER is the next in line to ebay. Its traffice rank is 4,700. Bonazles traffic rank is 21,000.
it really is a great place for the online vets and those new to the venue like me, and bonefish, I actually found Bonanzle before I ever heard of ecrater!!
Great article on one of the most helpful people on the Bonanzle site! She freely gives of her time as many others do as well! We are lucky to have such giving people in the Bonz family! We love her at the "ranch."

BTW, I'm a huge advocate of cross-site selling. IE: Buying at a Bonanzle live auction to re-sell an item on eBay, negotiating a sale on eCrater for resale on my own site etc. It's what makes the ecommerce world go round!
