Victor Hugo said, "There is no army strong enough to stop an idea who's time has come".  Dealitlive.com's time has come!

http://www.Dealitlive.com

is a new ecommerce platform that I'm completely jazzed about. It's the most innovative thing I've seen on the Internet since eBay. Really.

I just completed my second Dealitlive show and after two shows and 25 items, I have a 98% sell-through. All my items were auction items with no reserve.

In a nutshell, here it is: with Dealitlive.com, in 10 minutes you can have your own live streaming, Video shopping channel. I'll go into the details later, but let that sink in for a minute.

For the cost of a web-cam and a mic, you can have your own live video streamed home shopping channel on the Internet! The reason I say "for the cost of a mic and webcam", is because that's all you need. There are no listing fees or setup fees, all you pay is 5% of the final selling price.

As an auctioneer who knows that 20% is the base commission fee in the auction industry, I can't emphasize how much of a great deal that is.

To start selling on DIL, you register just as on any other site. After that there's a brief tutorial (in video of course) that I suggest you watch to help you get started. If you're the type to jump right in without any instruction it can be done.

Here are the basics: As with any ecommerce site, after you register, you'll want to set up a profile. Then click on the button at the top of the page that says "Sell". You'll then be taken to a page where you schedule your "show".

After you schedule a show, you'll be taken to a page where you list the item you wish to sell.

Now you're ready to list your item. My favorite benefit of DIL is that it's so darn easy to list an item! I've got the process down to a minute and a half. Let me say that again. I've got the time to process the listing of an item on Dealitlive down to a minute and a half!

The reasons it's so easy to list your items are because:

1) Everything you need to do is on that one selling page.

2) Since you're going to have a live video production, you only need to type in a bare bones description, thus saving a lot of time.

3) You also have the option to load pictures of your item, and the uploading goes as quick as lightening.

The benefit this has to the serious seller as well as small seller is immeasurable. It simply means that you can list more items in a shorter amount of time. Selling on some sites has become so complicated and difficult that this is probably the biggest asset that Dealitlive has right now.

So far I've been focused on the seller, but think for a moment how as a buyer, Dealitlive is a great way to shop.

Here are just a few pluses on the buying side I've found:

  • Because you can see the item live, you get angles, views and details of the item that you just can't get via any other means.
  • There is a place where you can type in your questions or comments during the show, so if you want to know something, you can ask the seller in real-time and s/he will answer you instantly. This brings the trust factor to a maximum!
  • Once relationships are established, I can see how sellers would give special deals to favorite buyers. The Home Shopping Network would kill for this kind of interactivity!
  • As a buyer, you could request certain items from sellers like myself who have large inventories.
  • The guesswork and risk is taken out of shipping fees, item details, seller reliability and more.
  • There are several ways things are offered on DIL, among them, auctions (YAY, Auctions are BACK!), Fixed price, and something called re-runs. With the fixed price live shows, you have the ability to negotiate live, get dealer discounts, deals on combined shipping and more.

More on selling:

As a licensed auctioneer who's seen eBay and some other sites all but declare auctions dead, it's refreshing to see this new, virtually unlimited auction-able site!

When you have a great product or service at a good price, and you really believe in it, no one in the world can sell that product better than you. This is the conundrum brick and mortar store owners have when they expand and hire sales help and clerks. The clerks don't do nearly as well selling the store's items as the owner. With DealitLive, that problem is eliminated.

For professional auctioneers and liquidators, it's an extremely affordable way to hold live online auctions and large liquidations.

Branding, branding, branding! There is nothing like the power of video to brand yourself. With each live show you do on Dealitlive you are solidifying your brand recognition.

What can be done on DealitLive.com right now for free would have cost you a few hundred thousand dollars at the least for a small shopping network on a local TV station. Also note, that there would be little or no interactivity with a TV audience.

Dealitlive is so confident in it's service, it allows you link to your own website(s) and mention your business in any way you please. It's YOUR show!

You're also encouraged to use promotional videos for you channel and for each show.

There is a feature called a "re-run". With a re-run, if your item doesn't sell the first time around, OR let's say you have multiples of an item, your video will run for 21 days or until you sell out.

The list of benefits to buyers and sellers is mind boggling. I've been in the Auction business for more than 25 years, and have never seen anything like this. I truly believe it is going to revolutionize the way business is done on the Internet.

Once I saw the possibilities, I jumped on board and tried out the site with 2 auctions. I'm happy to report that I sold nearly every lot I put on the block AND I sold the lots for what I consider to be very fair prices.

I will be doing weekly auctions on Dealitlive at 7PM ET on Sunday evenings.

You can find those at

Watch for more, I have a feeling your going to be hearing a lot from DealitLive.
