Schools are starting up again this week in Mankato and some schools have already started. Here's an assortment of sweet printouts and projects from around the web to add a little fun to it all.
The Official Lunch Survey: Head over to June Pfaff Daley (art just for fun) to print out this adorable survey to slip in your child's lunch. It has wonderful, whimsical doodles on it and asks children questions like "My morning at school has been (check one) cool, stressful, boring, fun, crazy" and "My favorite food to find in my lunchbox is...".
Hello teacher notes: Teach Mama has designed these little printable letters for your child to help fill out to make connections with new teachers. Children fill out information like their names and favorite things, then deliver it to the new teacher on the first day to help get aquainted.
Conversation Cards: The Crafting Chicks have made up four printable cards for kids to fill out after school to help get conversations going. Between the cute graphics and the easy questions, they look like a sweet way to start some conversations.
Morning routine cards and after-school routine poster: Living Locurto has designed two free printables to help parents. First, there are colorful cards to print out to help kids remember their morning routines. Next, there's an equally colorful poster with an afterschool routine. These look like fun visual reminders to help reinforce some new school habits.
Schultutes: Alphamom has the instructions for how to make this cone filled with new school supplies that's based on a German tradition. This would be a fun craft to start off a homeschool year as well!
And more: Finally, Martha Stewart has an assortment of printables and craft ideas. From cubbies made of cardboard boxes to printable stickers, there's all sorts of ways to jazz up the back to school routine.
