Following Sunday's signing of nine-year veteran cornerback Brian Williams, the Falcons released safety Jamaal Fudge on Monday.
The 5'9". 190 pound safety was claimed off waivers in September of last season. He spent the previous two years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team that signed him as an undrafted rookie free agent.
In 30 games in his career he has 27 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two passes defensed.
Last season for the Falcons the Clemson graduate played in 10 games. He totaled 12 tackles and set a personal-best 10 tackles in his lone start in the final game of the regular season.
The Falcons have Erik Coleman, Thomas DeCoud, William Moore, and Antoine Harris at the safety positions.
