On Tuesday the Atlanta Falcons released third-year cornerback David Irons.
Irons, a 2007 sixth-round draft choice, played in 20 games in his career with the Falcons, registering 17 special teams tackles.
The 5'11", 188 pound Dacula, Georgia native was named the Coaches All-SEC Second Team following his senior season at Auburn University. That season he finished with 39 tackles, 11 pass break-ups, and two interceptions.
Irons' brother, Kenny Irons, was a 2007 second-round draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals.
