With the September 1 deadline looming to reduce roster size to 75, the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday released three players to fulfill the initial cut deadline's expectations.
Defensive tackles Jason Jefferson and Tywain Myles and long snapper Robert Shiver were released.
Jefferson, with the franchise for a year, played in 13 games in 2008, totaling nine tackles.
Myles was a reserve/future contract signee in January of this year and Shiver was a rookie free agent signing in April.
The NFL's deadline for final roster cuts to the maximum of 53 players is Saturday, September 5.
