For the past four years, Pastor Bill Dunfee and members of his congregation at the New Beginnings Ministries church have been protesting a local gentlemen’s club in Warsaw, Ohio. On Sunday August 8th, the Foxhole Club’s owner and dancers went and protested right back.
On almost every weekend, Pastor Dunfree and his followers can be found outside the Foxhole Gentlemen’s Club with bullhorns, signs, and cameras. They have taken photos of customer’s cars and license plates and posted them on their website as a form of intimidation.
Tommy George, the owner of the club had previously sued the Church to get them to stop, but lost on free speech grounds. So now he and his dancers have decided to fight back by protesting outside the Church on Sunday. Dancers showed up in their bikinis with signs of their own. Here are what some of the signs had to say:
Matthew 7:15: Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing."
I Pastor Bill is my ticket to HEAVEN, I’d rather be in HELL with my FRIENDS."

Let's see. Christians are dropping bombs on babies in Southwest Asia and this church is protesting a gentlemen's club. Yeah, that makes sense.
That's awesome!!!
BRAVO!
I am proud of the strippers and club owner for finally fighting back against the constant harassment of their LEGAL activities. I notice the well spoken, non-judgemental tolerant ones are NOT the church spokesman!
This is why I love America!
It's always a church and the horrible people who follow it that ruin every thing. They should take pictures of the stupid Christians and post them on the Foxhole Club website.
You go girls! Somebody needs to fight back against all this religious intolerance that is destroying this country, and it's freedoms.
From what I've seen, I believe a lot of Christians want to strip for Jesus...
Strip other people of their civil liberties, that is...
I am delighted to see someone stand up to these bible thumping, you will obey my G-d, holier than thou, bigots.
Sad really. Did you see the second stripper? She truly is a lost soul. Victimless crime? The degradation of women is the sin. And she is the victim. I hope that this woman will see that it is precisely for her and others like her that the church is fighting.
We were created man for woman and woman for man but mankind has perverted it. Sex can draw a husband and wife together in a loving intimate relationship. It can bring forth life. The objectivisation of women brings death.
@LongGone: There is indeed nothing noble about the male lust and female desperation that meet at strip joints. But is harassment going to solve the real problem? Or will it simply drive it underground? Doesn't the Bible teach that there will be many chaste teetotalers in hell? Do you really want politicians and bureaucrats telling you what you can and cannot do on your own property? Aren't we (the church) supposed to be a city on a hill that draws the lost, or have I missed the command to meddle in others' private lives? Did Israel ever have a mandate to expunge the vices of Moab or Egypt or Assyria? Don't we have enough problems in the church (like making Uncle Sam an idol, like addiction, divorce, and adultery among congregants) to keep us on our knees? Should our message be "your private life is our business" or "we're sinners, too, but Jesus is the friend of sinners---let's be friends and spur each other on to good works"? "Just say no" works wherever it's tried.
Thank you, Henry! You alone see the "desperation" of the women and the sinfulness of the men who degrade them. And my use of the word, "sinfulness", I am not trying to be judgmental or scary but to point out the vast gulf between the proper role of sex in a loving and caring relationship and the twisted, vicarious "sex" (should I say "virtual rape"?) that occurs in these places. Sin is merely the difference between the way it ought to be and the way it is.
The Christians are saying to the those involved in the strip joint that the participants are wallowing in a pig sty but right next door is a beautiful park - they need to choose. This is kind and loving thing to do.
all faiths that came from the middle east
are nothing but power and control freaks
and the sooner they are eliminated from
the earth the safer our children will be.
My boyfriend and I love strippers. They're so much fun, so open-minded, and everyone loves titties. There's a couple gross strippers in every strip joint, but you just kind of ignore those and go for the more hygenic and pretty ones. They'll show you a good time, all you creepy old people from that OH church! Not that you know what a good time is, because your pastor's been raping your grandchildren for so long you don't even know what fun is anymore. Try it anyways though, might make you happy enough to stop going to church all together! And wouldn't that be something?
Tit for Tat.
Tit for Tat.
@LongGone: Point taken. However, if you look at the comments here and that of the owner of the joint, that invitation is coming across as condemnation and harassment. I'm not sure I would have become a Christian if someone had put a sign in front of my house saying, "Henry is an arrogant, lascivious [puppy]," true as it was (and still is?). Instead, they gave me "shelter from the storm." Jakk's comment to the contrary, I can't imagine anyone going home from the Fox Hole and feeling good about themselves. Yes, we need to offer an alternative, but in the way Jesus did: the prostitutes seemed to enjoy his company, even though he claimed to be the God who hates harlotry. I haven't figured out how he did it, but I don't see that he used picket lines.
@Henry, I heard he was well hung. While his mother is said to have been a virgin, I don't think Jesus ever made that claim about himself (and I'm don't really believe his mom's claim anyway).
Those christians are so f*****d up spending their time outside a club harrassing its patrons. Didn't Jesus say something on the line of sort yourself out before pestering other folk (casting the first stone, getting the plank out of your own eye etc).
This is why I could never set foot in one of their self-righteous buildings - christians go shove it
Henry, it is pretty disturbing but not unexpected that self described atheists would not see the suffering of these women.
I recently saw a debate with one of participants being a former prostitute who had found Christ and started an organization, Hookers for Jesus. She was really quite remarkable. She talked about the rampant substance abuse that prostitutes use to try to anesthetize themselves against the horrors perpetrated on them.
Read Luke 7:36-50. Jesus offers what only He can and what prostitutes (and all of us sinners!) - forgiveness and healing. This is the loving message of the church.

Strip clubs get more devotions to God and Jesus Christ, anyway. At least I tend to say, "Oh my God, look at that" and "Jesus Christ, that is heavenly." And I'm actually sincere about it, without having to sing hymns and listen to a boring sermon.
WOOOOO GO STRIPPERS!
Um Longgone1. They are strippers NOT prostitutes and they look pretty damn happy to me about their chosen profession.
