The Ark of the Covenant
Patriarch Abuna Pauolos, the head of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church stated on Friday that he was planning on revealing the famed Ark of the Covenant to the world. Pauolos claimed that the container which God made to hold the Ten Commandments has been hidden in Ethiopian for thousands of years.
The Ark is hidden in a special chamber of one of the churched in Ethiopia and is protected by a special guardian who is trained to watch over the Ark until the guardian dies and is replaced with a new guardian. Some people claim that the Ark itself is an object of great power and is capable of burning people’s faces off (as seen in the film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark).
The Ark is also said to contain Manna which is the magic food God gave the Hebrews to sustain them on their 40 year journey to the promise land. Ethiopia is notoriously known for their poverty issues and so it would be almost unconscionable for the Ethiopian Orthodox Church to allow their people to starve to death while they protected the Magic Manna capable of sustaining the people inside their church.
The announcement that the Ark of the Covenant was going to be revealed to the public was something of a surprise considering that it was alleged to be hidden in Ethiopia for 3000 years and no time sensitive or even divine reason was given for its sudden re-emergence. According to Pauolos, the Ark belongs on a museum which has not yet been build.
The details about the Ark’s public appearance were also set to be announced on Friday and since then, no details have been revealed. Some have questioned whether Pauolos was even in a position to bring the Ark into the public light. Others have speculated that that Pope Palpatine vetoed Pauolos’s decision to bring the Ark public. And many others have speculated that the Church fears the scientific analysis of the magic box. Regardless of the reasons, no Ark of the Covenant has been revealed as promised.

the ark has been revealed
The statement " it would be almost unconscionable for the Ethiopian Orthodox Church to allow their people to starve to death while they protected the Magic Manna capable of sustaining the people inside their church." shows a lack of knowledge about the subject. The manna placed inside the ark was a very small amount for the purpose of reminding the Israelites about God's provision. Manna is not a "magic" food that can somehow reproduce itself. The bible is very clear that the manna was provided every day except the sabbath and had to be eaten that day. If the church does have the actual ark the ammount of manna contained in it would feed one person for one day at the most.
Last paragraph, 3rd sentence: "Pope PALPATINE?"
LMAO!!!!!
In 1204, the 4th Crusade, which had set out to liberate Jerusalem from the Moslems, apparently failed to ask directions and attacked the Christian city of Constantinople instead. In the 3 day sack of the city that followed its capture, the Crusaders "liberated" many holy relics for themselves -including enough pieces of the True Cross to build a church and not one, but TWO heads of John the Baptist!
The reason I mention this is because, like all those pieces of the True Cross and at least one, if not both, heads of John the Baptist, it's quite possible that the Ethiopian's Ark of the Covenant is also a fake.
:)
Christian Orthodox don't answer to the pope. Catholicism broke from the rest of Christianity eons ago, Coptic, Eastern European Orthodox, and Asian Christianity have nothing to do with the bishop of Rome.
So many errors by "journalists" these days...Maybe MJ's death has something to do with all this.
Hey Mike look in your dictionary Catholism or Catholic is the largest (Christian)group Christianity = followers of Jesus Christ. An Encyclopidia will tell you Jesus Christ is the founder of Christianity. If your smart you will do a little research to find out te J is only 500 yrs old. Sooo that would mean someone changed the name of our savior. "Yahwshua"Get back to him before it is too late. (pronounced)
Yah-who-shoe-ah Act:4:12 there is no other name under the heavens which there is salvation. He same yesterday, today and forever Heb:13:8 look up religion in the dictionary The word means re-connect. (get out of it if you can)..
"Some people claim that the Ark itself is an object of great power and is capable of burning peoples faces off (as seen in the film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)."
Haha...weasel word alert!
To Rosch...Your description of the Ark of the Covenant as a "magic box" is
a carelessly profane statement that better defines its source than the subject. A journalism that holds nothing sacred, will finally mock God, also.
Mak, It is a box that is said to have been made by God himself and some have claimed that it can burn people's faces off (like in the Indiana Jones movie). It is not said to be natural in any way nor do people expect it to work through the laws of physics. How does it work? Magic. So yes, it is by definition a "magic box." I am sorry you feel uncomfortable with that description.
Staks - The Ark was actually built by Bezalel (see Exodus 25:10-22 & Exodus Chapter 37) according to specifications given by God. And don't confuse the Indiana Jones movie with the Bible's description. The Ark was to be placed behind a curtain in the Temple and no one could approach (much less touch) the Ark except for the high priest. When it was moved from place to place it was covered with 3 layers of cloth to keep others from seeing it. That's why carrying poles were made which fit through loops fashioned to the Ark itself. As is seen in 1 Chronicles 13:9-10, Uzzah reached out a hand to steady the Ark as it was being moved and "The Lord's anger burned against Uzzah, and He struck him down because he had put his hand on the Ark." Incidentally, the Ark is said to have contained the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, Aaron's rod that budded, and one omer of manna.
A couple of other points...the Ark was made of natural materials found right here on planet earth. As far as the "magic manna" is concerned. The manna was a gift from God and he sent daily. No one was to supposed to pick up more than they could eat in a single day. Those who did found the excess rotting and full of worms the next day. The manna does not reporoduce itself nor does the container in which it is kept provide a limitless supply of manna. The container is no more magic than the tupperware in your cabinet. The Ark itself is no more magic than your dresser. Things do not occur which defy the natural laws until God himself chooses to act. Occurrences that defy the natural laws are often characterized as "magic". Although, I believe that term has so many connotations associated with it that it is probably not the best descriptive term to use in the context of this discussion...but that's just me.
One more thing...the face melting thing is a Hollywood creation...NOT a Biblical account.
What a terrible article with no real information, just a few sidelong insults at believers. I'm neither Catholic nor particularly holy but smarmy smirking stories mocking religion have been done both better and more entertainingly by Bill Maher.
Your copy editor needs to go back to his ESL course also. The misspellings are painful to see in a piece of "journalism". I guess the ark will remain in its 'churched' until the museum is finished being 'build'.
Can you spell "hack"?
I agree with Jarred. If the manna was in the ark, it would be a small amount.Special food like that preserved over time,(if that is the case)would be a sin to eat it. It is obviously there for a reason. Again lets stop using the word magic. It not magical it is miraculous.God doesn't dwell in evil.Magic to me is evil.Miracles come from God. I believe that the ark is hidden for a reason.Even if someone did reveal it,I wouldn't want to look upon it.According to the scriptures it causes certain death. So the question is why would anyone want to see it?? You have to find faith in other ways.we live in a time of free thinking. There are many other ways of proving gods existence to yourself.
I will make a prophecy : No ark will be produced, nothing will be revealed (again). This will bring the total of evidence for extraordinary claims in the bible to ZERO. No ark, no garden, no proof for the exodus, no flood-proof, etc...
This is not something that you open to the public. It is best to leave it alone and in secrecy.
If it turns out to be real, who does it belong too? Is it still dangerous? What is it's significance now that the new covenant is in place? How would you guard such a relic???
So many questions would only complicate the matter. They should keep it hidden.
I believe that the ark of the covenant (Heb.9:4) and the ark of his (Gods) testament (Re.11:9) are one in the same, and contain the tables of the covenant (Heb.9:4), the Ten Commandments.
I believe that the ark of the covenant/the ark of his testament is now in the temple of God in heaven (Re.11:19).
At the Seventh TRUMPET (1 Thess.4:16-17), the temple of God is opened in heaven to reveal the ark of His testament (Re.11:19).
And, again, at the GIVING of the Seven Last PLAGUES (Re.15:1-8), the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened (Re.15:5), wherein is contained the ark of his testament (Re.11:19), the ark of the covenant (Heb.9:4).

Magic is NOT A SIN. Geeezus!
Oh PLEASE! I've been hearing for years that Ethiopia's got it, has had it for 4000 years, whatever; I can't technically say if they have it or not.
Here's the thing. The instructions they used to build it are in the Bible, so IF Ethiopia were to finally bring it out into the open air, who's to say they didn't just make another one using the instructions that were used to build the original?
And why would they decide to bring it out anyway? So thieves from every country in the world can attempt to steal the most valuable artifact in history once they see it actually is where people have been saying it is for millenia? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
This is your second attempt at this article. The first was full of misspelled words and blatently false references to a WND article. This one is JUST as bad. Do they actually pay you to make this many mistakes?
James, I made only one reference to the WND article and that was to say that is where I first heard the story. I then researched other articles to learn more. Second, I apologize for misspellings and typos, I will continue to correct them as they are pointed out. I welcome constructive criticism and admit that I should probably proof-read more than I do. I'm not perfect.
I trast the ark is still in Ethiopia becouse i never seen bevor any country beliving Tabote only Ethiopian people they belive this so anybody can imagen no matter that Ethiopia is a poor country.Ethiopia is the Hollyland
You must be deilluded the Ark is not there for your entertainment and it does not have to appear to u debased nations of japhet. What benefit do you seek from the Ark, are u not God's sworn enemies the sons of pollution and ur allies the ass. Theives can try but they will fail and scientist will only be more confused. How will they carry her off or even get near. The Abuna cannot make that promise especially unto Rome. As christ said give unto ceasar what belong to caesar (satan)and christ said to peter after the revealing, I see satan behind you. Does not your Bible, torah and Quoran acknowledge moses kingship and marriage to an ethiopian/cush woman. Amos are you not like the children of the ethiopians unto me oh children of Israel,Esther and Christ the queen of the south shall raise up and come against you. Zeus (ethiop)feast with ethiopian tales of Troy. when u taste the day of evil like Ps78 and killed all the first born of Eygpt who are from Ham. Its said evil comes from the North
the guides of this world (hollywood, priest, medias, etc...) hide many things to the public, so that we cannot never know where is going or what is happened about a magical story. In my opinion, these announcements of the ark by the orthodox priest were in order to deliver a code to the initiated one who rule us
Christ Crucifixion site and the Ark of the Covenant found burred under a trash pile in Jerusalem.
